Time: 12:30 PM - 01:30 PM
Location:Room 1001

This year, law schools across Canada are holding a first ever National Law School Wellness Day on Monday March 7th. I hope you will join or connect with the following activity:

Special guest lecture, “How to Prioritize Your Mental Health”, 12:30pm-1:30pm Room 1001:

As we gear up for end of term and fast approaching final exams, self-care and coping can easily be put on the back burner in favor of marathon hours of study. How can you ensure dedication to your schoolwork while not compromising nor jeopardizing your mental health? Please join special guest speaker Doron Gold, Staff Clinician at Homewood Health (and former lawyer), who will discuss strategies for making your well-being a priority in order to thrive in law school and lead a fulfilling career in legal practice. Doron will also talk about a rather neglected topic that impacts many law students and lawyers: substance use. Learn how to recognize substance use patterns, when to reach out for assistance, and how to help a friend or peer who may have a substance use problem.
